All New on the Western Front
First of all a small apology for the recent lack of posts on the dcinput blog. This has been due to a supremely busy schedule.
I’ve been fortunate enough to land myself a really exciting job as an IT Engineer for a Digital Intermediate company called Capital FX in the heart of Soho, London. All arrangements were finalised the day after I left Henson’s only a few minutes before I took off for Dublin to go my cousin’s wedding. Many thanks to Curtis Bailey at TechNET IT Recruitment for sorting out all the detail.
Capital FX are partners of Deluxe and work on some of the biggest films around. I don’t want to go into to much detail just yet as I have no idea of their blogging policy. They have some of the most serious computing setup I’ve ever seen and guess what…they want me to help develop it! Hey, my middle name is geek.
A little daunting though as I am currently on a mission to see how much information I can cram into my little head over the next few weeks. After which I’ll be in training land…Cisco…Redhat Linux…SGI…all sorts.
Anyways Ireland was fantastic. I tell you the Guinness really does taste better there. My cousin’s wedding was great. I had 24 aunts and uncles there, a whole bunch of cousins, a great Uncle and my Nan. There was dancing, there was singing…much much fun was had by all.
Congratulations to Triona and Alex, the wonderful couple.
